Organized Art into Folders

Hey, guys! I just wanted to let you all know that I sorted all of my older art into folders in the Gallery! There's four folders for digital art, traditional art, photos, and written works. All of the stuff that was put into them was older, though. Anything more recent will be kept in the Featured area and, when I feel like it's time to refresh the page(s), I'll sort them into the folders. I'll probably let you know when I do it since it won't be very often. Also, there's still REALLY old stuff in my Scraps, if anyone is curious about that. There's about five years worth of stuff on here so.

whooOOAA IT'S A JOURNAL FINALLY

Okay, I could spend about a few paragraphs apologizing for several things, one of them including how I've been inactive for quite a while, but I don't have time or patience for that. I also have some damn good reasons, too, but we'll get into that.
So, you may be wondering "Ana, where have you been and what have you been doing for the past year or more?" That's a really good question, actually. I guess I'll just do a list/ summary of major things in 2014. Also, I'll try and have a summary or something at the end if you don't want to read all this.
- First and foremost, I'm still active online but in a bit of a different way. I know I've said this before but I'm on Tumblr and have been mainly doing stuff there. I do the reblogging stuff mainly but I also have a sort of active art blog, too. I know I've at least posted stuff in the past couple months, anyway. I come on here every once and a while to check some stuff but, other than that, I haven't really touched this account. I plan on changing that, though, and I plan on touching on that later.
- This is getting into some personal stuff but long story short, my dad died last March... The whole thing was a huge shock for everyone and threw myself and others into a very stressful situation. I'm doing okay now but I'd appreciate if you guys not... Dwell on it? Not sure how to put it. I just don't want to get into discussions over the matter and focus on things at hand. Thanks.
- Some happier news, I graduated high school!! Thirteen long years and it had finally ended. There are some mixed feelings about it but it's mainly happy so that's good. 
- I also started college!!?!! Wow, one school thing after another. I'm majoring in Multi-Media Arts and Design so my focus is artsy things. I just started my second semester not too long ago and I've learned a ton of crap. Mainly with how programs work and such. I'm going to try and post pictures of projects I do for them as much as possible. I've started to do that already so.
Oh, I'm also hoping to try and focus on animation stuff 'cause that's the field I want to start in! I feel like it's the best thing to start with since there's so much to do so and I hope to branch out from there.
- I got my driver's license! This isn't a huge thing but it is for me 'cause I don't have to rely on people driving me places. Although, my car was being stupid and I had to get a bunch of stuff fixed with it. It seems to be working well now, though!
Uh, I think those are the major things that have occurred. It has been roll coaster of crap, though. I'm just looking forward to things smoothing out and getting a bit better.
Onto news and announcements!!
I plan on becoming more serious about doing art stuff online and building my presence. I don't exactly want to be "famous" but I would,Ike to be known by a larger group of people. How I plan on doing this is running multiple art blogs such as Tumblr, Twitter (which I actually have now), Facbook, and wherever else I can post pictures. It's going to be tough since I have a hard time keeping the few I have now but I think it'll be easier since I have things to aid me in social networking ( i.e. iPad, iPhone, new desktop, etc).
WAIT. That just reminded me, I got new hardware! I have a completely new desktop that runs really well and a new drawing tablet! This means that a lot of art will probably be digital unless I post some stuff out of my sketchbook or elsewhere. It might also mean that I'll have streams doing art and maybe other stuff.
Oh, yeah, so, I'm trying to change the username I use for my art stuff but I can't change it here 'cause you need a premium membership. :U I know I haven't been active much but I would greatly appreciate if anyone would donate a membership for a day or so. Just long enough for me to change my name. Free art for people! \o/ Thanks~
I have digital commissions open at the moment!! All the info is on my Tumblr so, I'll make another journal about it sometime. I'm actually going to revise it a bit, too. This entry is already stupidly long...
TL;DR Been mainly on Tumblr, dad died, I graduated high school and started college, I have my driver's license, roll coaster of hell, plan on extending my online presence through other social networking, new desktop and drawing tablet, trying to change dA username and need a premium, and commissions are open.
So, yeah, that's how my year has been. I hope everyone else's was a bit better. XD;; But I have big plans over the next year or so. I hope you guys are excited! I'll make some posts with more information about other blogs and stuff. There are some links at the very end if you want to check them out now!!
Lastly, I just want to say, I really love you guys, if you've stuck around or if you're new. I appreciate every comment, favorite, and the other things you contribute to me. I may not always respond but I do see it and it makes me feel great. I wouldn't be doing this stuff and try and continue going forward if it wasn't for you guys and your support. Thank you so, so much and here's to bigger and better things.

Back to School and Updates

So, I figured I'd give you guys an update since I started my Senior year a couple weeks ago.
I actually have some good news about this. It seems like I'm not going to be swamped this year. I don't know if we're just not getting a lot of work or I'm using my time more wisely but it seems like I have a lot more time to myself. Now, this may change later on in the year (especially in the Spring) but for now I'll be free. What I'm going to try and do is dedicate my weekends to my art and get things done and practice with some stuff. You'll probably be seeing some different stuff floating around here 'cause I have to put a portfolio together and stuff.
In regards to commissions, I'm keeping Point commissions open. I looked into it and I'm not able to do Paypal ones since you have to be eighteen to have an account and there were other complications as well. If you're interested, note me!
I think that's all for now. If anything comes up or changes I'll either update this or post another journal. Stick around for more art soon!

Digital Point Commissions, Guys!

- 5 points = Sketch
- 10 points = Lineart
- 15 points = Flat Colors
-Any additional things such as small backgrounds, characters, etc. is an additional 5 points.
-Pretty much all the flat colored commissions will be transparent unless you want to have a specific, solid color as the background. Sketches and lineart will have white backgrounds unless you want it transparent or a solid color.
*NOTE: Single, solid colored/ transparent backgrounds will NOT have the additional charge added to them.*
-I'll basically draw anything as long as I have a colored reference and it's not NSFW (Not Safe For Work) stuff. If you're not sure if I'll do it, feel free to ask and I'll let you know!
-There are no slots or anything so commissions will be open as long as I am able to do them. They'll probably close sometime at the end of August since that's when i go back to school...
-If you're interested, send me a note with what you want. I'll then confirm it and tell you how much it would be. If you still want it, pay me and I'll get it done as soon as I can!
*NOTE: I will NOT start working on commissions until I receive the points! Sorry, but this is how I'm going to do things.*
Uh, I think that's it. I'll try and get a reference sheet up or something soon-ish. I appreciate if you give me commissions or just spread the word around.
